Input catalog
For the key programs typically undertaken with Elodie, an elaborate input
catalog system was devised by Geneva Observatory to identify objects being observed.
nocat
A number used to identify the most common stellar catalogs, such as :
0 for BD & CPD, 1 for HD, 2 for NGC, 3 for IC, 6 for Kukarkin, 11 for Giclas, 13 for Gliese, 22 for SAO, 27 for Hipparcos
nocoda
First part of the catalog entry number, such as :
0 for HD, SAO and Hipparcos; zone for BD & CPD, object for NGC and IC, constellation for Kukarkin, number for Gliese and Giclas.
nocodb
Second part of catalog entry number, usually the star number.
nodup
For visual double stars, a number indicating : 1 for component A, 2 for component B, etc. 0 for single stars.
coment
Optional comments on the finished exposure.
