Elodie archive Help

sn: Signal to noise ratio.

sn is the mean signal to noise ratio per pixel in the spectral order number 47, i.e. near 555 nm, computed at the telescope by the data reduction software.

The web interface of the archive allows to order the list of spectra by the value of sn and to put constraints on it (e.g. select spectra with a sn greater than a given value, or in a given range).

Note: For sn greater than 450 the spectra may be saturated in the red part of the wavelength range, producing a saw-tooth effect.

This archive is actively maintained. We thus welcome feedback from the user to help us detect anomalies and improve the website.
